Garstang Scarecrow Festival

We are very proud to be one of the sponsors for this years Garstang Scarecrow Festival, which is running over 3 days from the 20th to 21st July 2018.

FRIDAY 20TH JULY – SCHOOLS BREAK UP FOR SUMMER!
We kick start the event with BBC Radio Lancashire broadcasting from Cherestanc Square at 12 noon. Lots of guests from Garstang will be interviewed by the lovable “Gilly”! The funfair by the establised Cubbin’s family will open at 3pm. The showcase of scarecrows will be ready for you to enjoy the trail plus our scarecrow pebblehunt. Food stalls, a chance to decorate your own scarecrow gingerbread and face painting will also be available.

SATURDAY 21ST JULY
Music lovers, this is the day for you!! In addition to the funfair, scarecrows, food stalls including delicious home cooked food by The Happy Cook, ice creams, face painting & pebblehunt we have the following additions:
💟LITTLE ZOO Little Zoo to You – a chance for your children to meet exotic creatures, animals and insects!
💟Dance performance by Garstang School of Dance Troupe &
💟MUSIC FESTIVAL FROM 2PM!!!!!!!! Live music kicks off at THE KINGS ARMS from 2pm. A selection of live music will also be available in the evening along the scarecrow trail from 8pm onwards at the Farmers Arms, Wheatsheaf, Tithe Barn, Crown & Kings Arms!

SUNDAY 22ND JULY
If you are a fan of brass bands then Sunday is the day for you. We will also be presenting the scarecrow winners with their prize money and trophies, plus the grand raffle will be drawn! Pop down and see Dottie The Vintage Traveller Naturally the FUNFAIR will be open as will the scarecrow trail, pebblehunt, food stalls & face painting however from 2.30pm we will be treated to the wonderful sounds from Blackpool Brass band. Scarecrow winners will be presented with their trophies from 3.15pm. All this will be brought together with the wonderful local DJ Mr Darrell Edwards.
