The Playbarn is the perfect place to burn off energy. Plus whilst the kids are busy exploring you can enjoy some home cooked food, a refreshing drink or one of our home made cakes!
We recognise that play is critical to the healthy growth and development of children. As children play, they learn to solve problems, to get along with other children, and to develop fine and gross motor skills.
Sadly the days are gone when children can safely spend hours playing in the street or in the fields with their friends. At Old Holly Farm your child will develop physical skills in a safe environment as he/she crawl or climb up the log ramps in the main area or up the steps to the slide in the toddler area, and balance on the colourful duck in the toddler area.
Children will learn to solve problems ("what does this do?" "Does this puzzle fit here?") further developing their cognitive learning. At every play point within this well designed play barn children have the opportunity to learn about colours, numbers, sizes and shapes helping to develop their memory skills as well as their attention span.
Language develops as a child plays and interacts with others; the development of language skills has been enhanced at Old Holly Farm with the inclusion of many interactive tarps to encourage mother and toddler interaction.
Finally children will develop social skills important when mixing with groups of children. What better way to make sure he/she will be confident and happy when they are in their school environment? Learning to cooperate, negotiate, take turns on the equipment, and play by the rules are all-important skills learned in early games.
To us every child matters. Our high quality play barn has been inspired by this value to make sure that every time your child visits our farmyard themed soft play barn they will be exploring and developing new skills.
